Jacob: Jesus was here in Capernaum before, which caused quite a stir among the locals. To the amazement of a crowd, He spoke to a demon, commanding it to leave the body of a possessed man, and astonishingly, the evil spirit listened to that mysterious man……

Lesson:

Bible Verse: Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23): Love “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 [ESV]

Bible Story on Love (Luke 15:4-7: The Lost Sheep):Jesus told this parable:“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”This story shows us that the lost sheep is valuable…..

Resurrection Eggs Lesson

This lesson is for Easter Sunday and is geared toward Children’s Ministry. This would be good for both preschool and elementary age children. I have done this lesson with preschool children and they enjoyed the interaction. For elementary age children, I actually had them each make their own set of Resurrection Eggs. I will warn you that if you go that route, it is important to plan in advance to have the time necessary to collect enough egg cartons and to enlist others to help with the collection.
